Tara Giunta is a partner of the Washington, DC office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP. Ms. Giunta has extensive experience in advising companies at various stages of development (start-up, early, mid and large stage companies) in structuring and financing their businesses, including:

Structuring international projects and developing and implementing strategies for commercializing those projects on a global basis, including structuring strategic alliances, partnerships and joint ventures both domestically and internationally;

• Negotiating the full range of commercial contracts, such as purchase and sale agreements, lease arrangements, licensing agreements, management and service level agreements, etc.;
  
• Structuring projects to accommodate local legal and regulatory requirements and obtaining required licenses and authorizations; and
  
• Conducting due diligence, internal audits and compliance investigations and advising clients and their officers and directors on compliance in a broad range of areas, including regulatory and licensing, foreign corrupt practices act, technology transfer, data protection and export control.

Ms. Giunta works closely with her colleagues in such areas as international taxation, intellectual property, securities, employment and ERISA, to effect a comprehensive and efficient management of the business and commercial imperatives confronting her clients.

Ms. Giunta received her J.D. at Columbia School of Law, Catholic University in 1986 and her B.A., cum laude, at Tufts University in 1980. She in a member of the International Practice Committee of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA), American Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association, Women in Technology, Women in Cable and Telecommunications (Board Member, Programming Co-Chair, 2003 and 2004), Northern Virginia Technology Council, and High Tech Council of Maryland. Ms. Giunta is a Member of the Board of Directors of Kidsave International. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania (inactive).
