Telecom Briefing Objective

The first FTTx Briefing, Market Opportunities for FTTx, was held in December of 2004 just as the RBOCs were launching their FTTP programs. There is increased pressure on the government to promote broadband deployment based on the progress being made overseas. The State of the FTTx business will be addressed by three consultants, carriers, manufacturers, and local government representatives with the objective of identifying new market opportunities for systems, subsystems, and component suppliers.

  • Experiences learned
  • Status of IPTV
  • Systems and component price trends
  • Is it possible to make money in this market

  • Recent Broadband Experiments in Hong Kong and Japan
