Telecom Briefing Objective
As part of its "Executive Telecom Briefings" series Information Gatekeepers, Inc. (IGI) is planning a half-day Briefing on "Telecommunications Reconstruction in Iraq" on September 29, 2003, from 8:00am to 12 noon. The program will include speakers from government and industry who are intimately involved in the planning and funding of projects for the "Telecommunications Reconstruction of Iraq". The Iraq telecommunications network was neglected before the war and further destruction occurred during the war. No national mobile radio network exists. This points to sustained market opportunities for telecom equipment and service providers.
Issues to be explored include:
- Overview of the Economic Reconstruction Plan
- Status of Telecommunications Reconstruction in Iraq
- Plans for funding major projects
- Major players in the Telecom Reconstruction program
- Contracts awarded and planned
- How to obtain information on new projects
- How to meet key officials from government and industry
